Born Giacomo Bonino, I am an illustrator based in Genoa, Italy, with a background in humanities, holding a degree in Ancient Literature and Archaeology.

I've always nurtured a passion for drawing.

I am self-taught, and I’ve been deepening my skills with a course at the Genoa Comics Academy, and in 2025 I achieved a Master’s Degree in Editorial and Advertising Illustration at LABASAD Barcelona School of Art and Design.

The idea behind Duddu starts from the love for the beautiful, joyful and carefully crafted illustrations that accompanied my childhood and that I believe can still have a relevance to the present time.

My goal is representing and communicating reality through illustrations that are playful, direct, and simple but come from a deep understanding and research on a subject, and have a positive impact on the observers, sparking curiosity, thought and reflection, putting a smile on their face.
